Singapore Company Name Check

Depending on whether your company is a private or public company, the suffix used will be different. A commonly used suffix for private companies is Pte. Ltd.

This means making sure no other businesses have the same or a similar one. Some rules to take note of to determine if a company name is ‘similar’ to that of an existing company: the symbol “&” and the word “and” as the same the following words and expressions where they appear at the end of the name unless the corporations are related to each other: “company”, “and company”, “corporation”, “Incorporated”, “Asia”, “Asia Pacific”, “International”, “Singapore”, “South Asia”, “South East Asia” and “Worldwide”

The meaning is undesirable due to it being obscene, religious, or not indicative of what your company is or does. Or if The Minister of Finance orders the Registrar to not approve it
